Toram Eye Drop belongs to the class of aminoglycoside antibiotics. It is used for the treatment of bacterial eye infections. Bacterial eye infection occurs when harmful bacteria invade any eye part, such as the eyeball, conjunctiva, or cornea.
Toram Eye Drop contains tobramycin, an antibiotic that works by killing the infection-causing bacteria. Thus Toram Eye Drop treats bacterial eye infections.
Use Toram Eye Drop as prescribed by your doctor. The common side-effects of Toram Eye Drop are eye irritation, feeling of having something in the eye, swollen/itchy eyelids, eye redness, increased tearing and inflammation of the cornea (clear front portion of your eye). Most of these side effects fade away gradually over time without the need for medical intervention. However, consult your doctor if you experience these side effects frequently.
Toram Eye Drop is for ophthalmic (eye) use only; do not inject or swallow. Do not use Toram Eye Drop if you are allergic to tobramycin, other aminoglycoside antibiotics, or any components in Toram Eye Drop. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, notify your doctor. Toram Eye Drop may temporarily blur your vision; therefore, wait until your vision is back to normal before using any machinery or driving.
