Rebrex Eye Ointment belongs to the class of aminoglycoside antibiotics. It is used for the treatment of bacterial eye infections. Bacterial eye infection occurs when harmful bacteria invade any eye part, such as the eyeball, conjunctiva, or cornea.

Rebrex Eye Ointment contains tobramycin, an antibiotic that works by killing the infection-causing bacteria. Thus Rebrex Eye Ointment treats bacterial eye infections.

Use Rebrex Eye Ointment as prescribed by your doctor. The common side-effects of Rebrex Eye Ointment are eye irritation, feeling of having something in the eye, swollen/itchy eyelids, eye redness, increased tearing and inflammation of the cornea (clear front portion of your eye). Most of these side effects fade away gradually over time without the need for medical intervention. However, consult your doctor if you experience these side effects frequently.

Rebrex Eye Ointment is for ophthalmic (eye) use only; do not inject or swallow. Do not use Rebrex Eye Ointment if you are allergic to tobramycin, other aminoglycoside antibiotics, or any components in Rebrex Eye Ointment. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, notify your doctor. Rebrex Eye Ointment may temporarily blur your vision; therefore, wait until your vision is back to normal before using any machinery or driving.
